LIFE UNDER THE SOVIET UNION
On January 19, 1955, Pavel N. Mironov was born into a family that resided in the Soviet Union which, at that time, was under the strict regime of the communist party. The Bosheviks, who founded the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, upheld the ideals of Marxism and Leninism as sovereign and the sole source of authority in the USSR. Citizens who reportedly remained faithful to any religion - especially Christianity - faced systematic oppression in terms of limited academic opportunities & were ostracized by organized communist groups from the community. Falling in love, having a peaceful life, raising a family, and getting a steady job were nearly impossible without the approval of the ruling party.
The Mironovs lived in daily fear of beatings, bullying, ostracization, being forced to go without pay or fired without cause, and worse, taken to labor camps in Siberia by the order of dictators like Joseph Stalin. Unfortunately the Mironov family did experience some of these hardships firsthand but their faith in God and each other eventually carried them to safety. Despite the hardships he faced growing up behind the Iron Curtain, Pavel N. Mironov, the future founder of Intengent Dental Laboratories, committed himself to remaining true to his intrinsic creative talent, Christian faith, and entrepreneurial spirit.
As a young man, Pavel applied his skills in art and business through working as a gold and coal miner, an electrician, a welder, a home builder and an auto mechanic. He also created customized granite photo engravings for memorial stones, manufactured sewing machines, sketched and painted canvassed art. As a romantic and a lover of nature, he grew tulips in his greenhouses and kept bee-hives for honey. During the winter months, Pavel sold his blossoms in train stations across Russia as far as Siberia, where fresh flowers were a rarity and highly prized.
THE IRON CURTAIN FALLS - THE MIRONOV FAMILY & INTENGENT DENTAL LABS RISES
In the late 1980s, as the Iron Curtain came down, the window of opportunity for immigration finally opened. Without thinking twice, Pavel fled the country as a refugee with his wife and two young girls. Traveling through Austria and Italy, they arrived in Eastern Washington State where they were sponsored by an American family. After some time adjusting to the culture shock, Pavel settled into his new American life. Here, Pavel once again relied on his artistic talent, business savvy and trust in God to guide him to his lifelong career as a Certified Dental Technician. He accepted an apprenticeship under a respected technician named Jerry Henry and continued working for Jerry’s lab while developing ideas for his own company.
Later that year, Pavel’s youngest son, Ruvim Mironov, was born in the Pacific Northwest where he was taught the values of perseverance, self determination and the American Dream. After Pavel’s mentor, Jerry, retired, Pavel established Intengent Dental Lab as a family business. His experience, talent and immaculate track record have helped him create strong relationships and trust with his business partners.
Ruvim, being a highly detailed and driven individual himself, followed in his father’s footsteps and became the CEO of Intengent. Under Ruvim’s leadership, the company has grown tremendously due to high standards in performance, a personal relationship with partner technicians, outstanding customer service, and scrutiny of every detail related to case management and production. Intengent Dental Laboratories, was established as a high volume, full service lab, servicing corporate clients like InterDent. The Intengent Honor Society proudly offers the same level of service and value to dentists nationwide.
GRATITUDE, GROWTH & THE FUTURE OF INTENGENT
Looking back from where he came from to the present moment, Pavel is thankful and grateful to be in a country that gave him the opportunity to grow in a new industry while taking advantage of his artistic talents and intellectual achievements. He loves to be in nature, whether it is a simple walk or taking his motorcycle out for a ride in the countryside. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends in Portland, Oregon and across the country. Pavel and Ruvim are dedicated to building a better future for dentists and patients by honoring their values and commitments.
